Welcome to the Northwestern High School Bands web site. We provide information and news about the bands at the Northwestern High School in Springfield Ohio. Actually, the Northwestern Local School district is west of Springfield, in the northwestern corner of Clark County. The district covers two townships, Pike and German.
The flagship band is the Marching Warriors which consists of around 90+ students, including the flag corps. The Marching Band performs at all the football games and in various parades in the area, including the Homecoming parade in October and the Memorial Day parades in North Hampton, Tremont City, and Springfield. The band also competes in the Ohio Marching Band competition events during the fall season.
The Jazz Band performance schedule begins after football season and continues through the school year. This band performs at several occasions including the Senior Citizen dinner, the Alumni Dinner, the Miami Jazz Festival, and several times during the Christmas holiday season.
The Symphonic & Concert Bands preform at Christmas and at the end of the school year. The Symphonic Band competes in state sponsored contests during the school year.
